Mercury Karapiro Spillway Refurbishment

Work involved underwater site measure of spillway gate slots, fabrication, painting and installation of the spillway bulkhead frames and the bulkhead itself. This work involved approximately 3000 hours underwater diving work, 4500 hours fabrication time and 250 hours on-site craneage.

On completion we were then awarded the contract to refurbish the 4 spillway gates. This involved installing the bulkheads, removing the spillway gates, inspecting the spillway gates to ascertain any remedial work, reinstalling spillway gates, testing, calibration and QA reports.
